IntroductionAuto Leak test apparatus is used to test for the integrity of packed strips, blisters and small sachetscontaining tablets, granules, liquids and so on. The instrument is used to test the Quality of the packagingprocess and to check that the seals enclosing the product are perfectly intact. Leak tester is designed to findthe smallest holes and imperfections in blister packs and other semi-rigid product packaging.The leak test apparatus is widely applied in the pharmaceutical industry for checking strips, blisters and
bottles etc. It also finds application in the food industry where it can be effectively used to check the air-tightness of sweet packets, ready-to-eat pre packed foods, confectionery packaging, packs of noodles,

Operation :1. Connect Silicon Tube between nozzle and Desiccator.2. Switch “ON” the Instrument.3. Initially press “Re-Set” key to reset the System once.4. Set the required time as described above.5. Place the Testing sample in to the Desiccator and close the lid.6. Press the Vacuum Pump “Start/ Stop” Key to start and run Vacuum Pump.7. Check the Vacuum Gauge and obtain the required vacuum level in the Desiccator.8. If the required vacuum level has been achieved in the Vacuum Gauge then press again the same“Start/ Stop” Key to stop the Vacuum Pump.9. As soon as Vacuum Pump operation closes by “Stop” key at Timer-1 ( showing Vacuum Pump“Run Time”), Vacuum Pump would be stopped and the Timer-2 would be started immediately withpre-set time to hold testing under vacuum .10. After completion of Set Time ( Leak Testing Time under Vacuum, as had been set initially), audioand visual alarm would be activated, indicates the ending of the operation and vacuum has beenreleased from Desiccator automatically, take out the sample from Desiccator for analysis andinvestigation.11. Press the “Re-Set” key, before going for next testing / operation.
Controls and Indicators1. Main: - Used to switch on and off the apparatus.2. Vacuum Gauge: - Vacuum applied, is indicated by this gauge.3. Digital Dual Display : - Indicates the operational Time in both Display.a) Timer- 1 :- It will display the total “Run Time” of Vacuum Pump to achieve the requiredVacuum on the Gauge/ Desiccator. Press “Start/ Stop” key for Vacuum Pumpto start & get the desired Vacuum. Timer will start counting and Vacuum gaugewill show the Vacuum position. When the required Vacuum achieved, press thesame key again to stop the Vacuum Pump. As soon as the “Stop key” ofVacuum Pump is pressed, the Vacuum Pump goes off . The Total “RunTime” of the Vacuum Pump would be displayed and Timer- 2 will startcounting for the Pre-Set time ( Vacuum holding / Testing Time for the LeakTest of sample) .
b) Timer- 2 :- Initially, set the Vacuum holding / Testing Time (under vacuum ), before start ofoperation on this display with the help of “SET” & “UP/ DOWN” key. Press“Enter” key to save the “Set Time” value. As soon as Vacuum Pump operationcloses by “Stop” key at Timer-1 ( showing Vacuum Pump “Run Time”),Vacuum Pump would be stopped and this Timer-2 would be started.
